In Classic GOP Style, NH Hosts Machine Gun Fund Raiser
Good God Almighty. It’s liking peering down a chasm of disconnect. In New Hampshire, Manchester Republican Committee Chair Jerry Thibodeau is hosting an Uzi fest. For $25 each, participants can blast machine guns. Proceeds from the event will be split between the party, the club and the gun suppliers. Sounds like a small earner for the party to me.
Thibodeau graciously wants all participants to live through the fundraiser, saying that’s his top priority. Awww. That’s so sweet. The spike of violent crime in the area leaves some residents wondering where the hell Tibodeau left his mind.
“The citizens of Manchester have lived through a deadly spike in violent crime the past year-and-a-half, despite the campaign promises of (Mayor) Frank Guinta to lower crime rates,” (Democratic Party Chair) Pappas said. “That the mayor’s political party would seek to glorify the use of machine guns for political gain is unconscionable.” — Union Leader

I’m a Republican and Thibodeau is an idiot, I own a gun and fired it only when I learned to use it since then it has been put in a safe place and I would only use it if I had to defend myself. This is poor PR for the Republican City Committee where the crime rate is so high. I have absolutely no interest in firing an UZI, i guess this is being done to satisfy those with excessive testosterones that they need to release. Firing an UZI does not make you more masculine, but I guess some of Thibodeau’s buddies need that outlet for their frustrations. — Union Leader
Thibodeau invited all the Republican candidates for president to attend. Not surprisingly, none accepted.
“I really tried to get Rudy Giuliani there,” Thibodeau said. “Because I’ll tell you, this is a guy that can’t relax.” — Union Leader
I always like to see stressed out people with guns. That worked so well for the guy Cheney shot in the face.
