Which Candidate?

I’m sitting in the airport in Chicago trying to get home. I figured since I had ample time, I’d start uploading a little of the video I shot yesterday at the Presidential Candidate forum. While we as a blog are not endorsing any candidate at this time, I think the following exchange between the big three spell out quite clearly the differences in the big three candidates (there is also a great bit by Sen. Dodd. I like that guy). In my mind, Edwards picks up major ground and Hillary looks like the same old political machine we’ve seen before. Obama looks like Obama. What that means is up to you.

It’s funny to hear Hillary mention that lobbyist money in terms of nurses and teachers and “yes corporations” right after we find out she’s a major recipient of Big Healthcare donations. It’s hard to bite the hand that feeds you now isn’t it?

(I applogize about the video. I didn’t have a tripod and it was rather loud - still you’ll get the point)

Get home safely ! - Thanks for sharing what you have. I do believe Edwards did the best !

And I am for him getting the nomination!.

Hillary Clinton’s comment at the bloggers convention illustrates how beholden she is to lobbyists representing corporate interests. Her claim to represent change seems to be contradicted by her remarks.

Good ol Hillary..trying to be all things to all people. But the bottom line is..she is beholden to the lobbyists just like the majority of elected representatives.

What stuck me as she talked about this was how in our faces she was about it. It was a page out the the Bush book.

The forum was valuable in several ways to me; not in a “deciding who I support” way, but rather in clarification of positions. I attended the breakout session for Clinton, and by the end of the day, I was even less impressed with her. She’s intelligent, but she is old school; she is not what we need at this time.

She is, however, very smooth and she has a tight organization. She will be difficult to beat.

I hope she can be beat..she is nothing more than Republican-lite Jet. Neither her or her husband were centrist, much less left of center. NAFTA was a huge boom for corporations, a screwjob for workers and third world countries.. and Hillary has yet to condemn it.

She does get her dander up when she smells an attack question doesn’t she? :P

  6. Jet Netwal Says:

She was asked about NAFTA in the breakout, and she didn’t come out against it either. She said NAFTA was about Canada as much as Mexico, and we needed to be looking at the bigger picture.

  7. Dusty Says:

Oh bull hockey on that response!

  8. Jet Netwal Says:

Agreed. She has a hard time admitting error or changing a position.

Hmmmmmmm. Who does THAT remind me of?

  9. Dusty Says:

    Republicans…:P

Too bad Hillary has all of the dough… It will interesting to see how this pans out.
