Hillary Knew: Now THAT’s a Rant
Holy Guacamole’ Batman! These people are pissed and have the video goodness to prove it. If you think Hillary is due for a correction on the inevitability factor, this is for you. If you just don’t like her, this is for you. And, if you think her war vote was BS, oh baby, have I got video for you. Check it out!

He knew too:
The path of confronting Saddam is full of hazards. But the path of inaction is far more dangerous. This week, a week where we remember the sacrifice of thousands of innocent Americans made on 9-11, the choice could not be starker. Had we known that such attacks were imminent, we surely would have used every means at our disposal to prevent them and take out the plotters. We cannot wait for such a terrible event — or, if weapons of mass destruction are used, one far worse — to address the clear and present danger posed by Saddam Hussein’s Iraq.”

She Knew:
I come to this debate, Mr. Speaker, as one at the end of 10 years in office on the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, where stopping the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction was one of my top priorities. I applaud the President on focusing on this issue and on taking the lead to disarm Saddam Hussein. … Others have talked about this threat that is posed by Saddam Hussein. Yes, he has chemical weapons, he has biological weapons, he is trying to get nuclear weapons.”

He knew too:
“Heavy as they are, the costs of action must be weighed against the price of inaction. If Saddam defies the world and we fail to respond, we will face a far greater threat in the future. Saddam will strike again at his neighbors; he will make war on his own people. And mark my words, he will develop weapons of mass destruction. He will deploy them, and he will use them.”

I don’t know that Hillary knew. She and the rest of the US shoulf have. We do know that cheney knew
Here’s Cheney in 1991, parroting the elder Bush’s (POTUS #41) reasoning for not going into Baghdad. Crooks & Liars has provided a link to the audio here (QuickTime audio). See transcript, below:
“The notion that we ought to now go to Baghdad, and uh, somehow take control of the country strikes me as, as, and extremely, uh, serious one, in terms of what we’d have to do when we got there. You’d probably have to put some new government in place. It’s not clear what kind of government that would be –how long you’d have to stay. For the U.S. to get involved militarily, in determining the outcome of, uh, the struggle over whose going to govern in Iraq, strikes me as the classic definition of a QUAGMIRE.”
Yet the people reelected these people in 2004.

SInce Hillary is the presumptive nominee, it is interesting to see an upswell of Dems against her. The real question is what will they (the Dems against her) do in a general election with her as the candidate against the GOP. Stay home? Recruit a third party candidate like Nader or even Gore? Is there enough anti-Hillary sentiment in the ranks of the Dems to fracture the party and give the presidency to the GOP? I listen to Ed Shultz on the talk left channel on Sirius and it seem that most callers are against her but what percent of overall Democrat voters will this be? I know I am getting a little ahead of the game as the primaries are not yet a done deal, but if you look at the pole numbers and the political machine behind her it looks like it is hers to lose.

Amazing how the party against capitalism enjoys their money so much.

I knew, Steve. Only a fuckin’ a fuckin’ stupid ass idiot wouldn’t have known.
Great video, great song, great point. Fuck Hillary. If she gets the nod, she’d get my vote, but I’ll be washing my lever hand every five minutes for the next four to eigth years after.

JMJ, is there a third party ticket that would get your vote? Say a Gore/Kucinich ticket? Or will you go Dem regardless considering the odds against any third party left or right?

I don’t see your comment here, but I got it in the mail. What has 9/11 got to do with Saddam? Even the Asshole in charge finally admits he had nothing to do with it.

Lisa’s comment got hung up in the spam filter. I released it, but it’s not showing up yet.
