You guess what Rudy was on during this interview..
A heartfelt thank you to Shakesspeares Sister for this video. Its short and frankly..I am left wondering wtf this man was on when he sat down with Timmy Russert Sunday morning, he looks and sounds like a complete ass ( which he is btw);

“In this world of sin and sorrow there is always something to be thankful for; as for me, I rejoice that I am not a Republican.” - H. L. Mencken

Touche’! Very apropos. But you didn’t tell me what you think he was ‘on’ when he did the interview.

he was and is on a giant ego trip.

Menken shows in his comment why he is not a Republican. He is a “glass half empty” kind of guy. He looks at what he calls a world of sin and sorrow whereas a Republican would see a world of wonder and joy. I know I do and I rejoice that the scales of socialism were lifted from my eyes and I am now an ex-Democrat.

manapp99.. i am so glad you have found the lord and a job. suggest you go down to the recruiting office. we need your communist hating capitalists types in Iraq.
When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why the poor have no food, they call me a communist. — Dom Hélder Câmara (1909-1999)

Rube, as far as I know the Lord was never lost. As far as a job goes, I am self employed so maybe I should find a REAL job. Nah, I like to golf too much.
I went to the recruiters like you suggested but they said they were not taking 50 year olds. Darn. They did say that I could go to the army surplus store and buy myself one of those really cool uniforms though.
Seeing as how DOM as a Catholic Arch Bishop, I doubt any would call him a communist. They don’t allow religious people in Commyville.
Joshing aside. If you want to feed the poor, quit taking money away from the populace to send to an entity (the government) who are the least efficent at helping people, and you will find that charitable organizations will flourish. The American people are very giving and charitable organizations closer to the people in need are far more efficient and far less wasteful.
The difference, IMO, between liberals and conservatives is not about the desire to help those in need, It is about who can do the best job of it.
Liberals think it is the government.
Conservatives think it is the private sector.

Manapp you are correct about the private sector helping more. But our government helps many. If you are poor in this country there are many services we provide from healthcare to food stamps,rent subsidies,oil subsidies in other words welfare. So I really don’t get why the liberals are always crying about the poor. I think it’s a phony stance because the way they are always knocking Christians when they are the biggest contributors to the poor. I would say that’s kind of Nancy Pelosi of them.

mana… which recruting station did you go too? two over 50 national guard folks were killed in Iraq last week? but then they probably joined back before bush developed the strategy for getting out of any conflict where one might really get hurt.
lisa…I do hope you are well fixed. we are about to enter a recession, at least, and i hope you don’t get to experience the edification i alluded to yesterday.
