Really the title of the post should be:

Clinton, Bubba screws up Clinton, Bubbette's campaign with big mouth.

Look at this article:

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2007/12/19/2007-12-19_bill_clinton_seen_as_upstaging_hillary.html

This section:

"But Hillary Clinton might not be amused at the brouhaha her husband caused by saying that as President, she would immediately enlist the first President Bush to repair the overseas mess his son is leaving.

The New York senator has also said she'd reach out to past Presidents to help fix America's image. But Bubba's more pointed suggestion that Poppy would help clean up his son's mess provoked a smackdown from the older Bush's camp.

"That will not happen. There is no way he would do anything that would even indirectly suggest he has problems with his son's foreign policy," a longtime friend of George H.W. Bush told the Daily News.

Republicans enjoyed the awkward spectacle and took notes."

The amazing thing is this opening line:

"Hillary Clinton's husband may be a political genius, but he's also a Bill in a china shop."

A "political genius"?

He could not even get 50% of the vote in his own elections. Bill should send a christmas basket to Ross Perot because without him he would never have been President. He is out there proving daily that he is no genius. Political or otherwise.
Why do you think Al Gore ran AWAY from Bill in 2000?
The problem Hillary has is that she cannot get away from Bill. She would be better off divorcing Bill and introducing us to her life partner. At least it would be honest.

Ken you say:

"It’s a bold ploy for sure, inviting the father of the current president into her camp. It’s surreal that this “invitation” hasn’t been refused.

Actually it is just Bill making things up....again:

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2007/12/18/elder-bush-nixes-clinton-trip-idea/

From the story:

"In a statement sent to CNN Tuesday afternoon, former President Bush’s chief of staff Jean Becker said that he “wholeheartedly supports the President of the United States, including his foreign policy. He has never discussed an ‘around-the-world-mission’ with either former President Bill Clinton or Sen. Clinton, nor does he think such a mission is warranted since he is proud of the role America continues to play around the world as the beacon of hope for freedom and democracy.

“President Bush is excited about several of the excellent Republican candidates running for president, and looks forward to discussing their candidacy once the Republican nominee is determined.”
